DomeShelter Warranty

 General Conditions:

• The warranty set forth shall be the purchaser’s sole and exclusive warranty.

• All warranties below are effective from the date of receipt of the warranty application form by AWP Group.

• AWP Group, reserves the right to repair or replace any item covered by this warranty.

• This warranty will be void if units are not paid for in full.

• The warranty is void if the units are not installed in strict compliance with the
manufacturer’s specifications.

• Purchasers shall notify AWP Group in writing detailing any defects for which a warranty claim is being made.

• AWP Group shall not in any event be liable for indirect, special, consequential, or
liquidated damages.

• The warranty is void if any changes, modifications, additions or attachments are made to the unit without the written consent of the manufacturer.

Fabric:

• There are two types of fabric used on the AWP Group DomeShelters those being:-
1) PPE (Polypropylene) Membrane
2) PE (Polyethylene) Membrane
3) PVC (Polyvinylchloride) Membrane

• PPE Membrane is warranted for three (3) years against UV degradation. PPE membrane is made of a cloth based laminated fabric which is fully waterproof. The pre-constraint fabric is designed for tension structures. Any claim made in respect of the PPE Membrane would require the fabric to be returned to the supplier at the owners’ expense.

• PE Membrane is warranted for three (3) years against UV degradation. PE membrane is made of a woven laminated fabric which is fully waterproof. The pre-constraint fabric is designed for tension structures. Any claim made in respect of the PE Membrane would require the fabric to be returned to the supplier at the owners’ expense.

• PVC Membrane is warranted for three (3) years against UV degradation. PVC membrane is made of a Solid laminated fabric which is fully waterproof. The pre-constraint fabric is designed for tension structures. Any claim made in respect of the PVC Membrane would require the fabric to be returned to the supplier at the owners’ expense.

• This warranty shall be void if damage to the fabric is caused by misuse, vandalism,
tampering with the fabric, an act of God, including but not limited to, ice, snow or wind in excess of the applicable building code parameters.

• Fabric is not warranted where it is not installed and erected in accordance with AWP Shade & Shelter’s plans and/or instructions.

Engineering:

• Engineering has a lifetime warranty. This structure has been designed to a specific wind speed. The drawing supplied with this structure specifies the region, as complying with AS1170.2. The engineering of this structure covers steel size, connection details, footing sizes, reinforcement and cover attachment details. Other details could be specified in accordance with the design.

• Any claim in relation to engineering will require a full independent enquiry at the owners expense.

General Workmanship:

• The work involved in the installation of this structure is covered by warranty for a period of one (1) year. General workmanship includes the preparation of footings, placing the posts, fixing columns to the hold-down bolts, bolting the frame, tensioning the cover and securing the cover. The application of the finish to the framework, fabric joining and concrete finishing is also included in the warranty for general workmanship.
• Any claim in relation to general workmanship will require a written application to AWP Group within the warranty period.

• AWP Group reserve the right, in cases where certain fabric colours have been
discontinued, to offer the customer a choice of available colours to replace the warranted fabric of the discontinued colour. The company does not warrant that any particular colour will be available for any period of time and reserves the right to discontinue any colour for any reason it may determine, without the recourse by the owner of the discontinued fabric colour. 
Framework:

• The framework on the AWP Group Shade Structure has a ten (10) year warranty period.

• All requirements in relation to cutting, welding, joining, drilling, fixing and finishing of the framework meet relevant Australian Standards.

• All claims made in relation to framework will require a full site inspection by AWP Group at the owners’ expense.

• This warranty shall be void if damage to the framework is caused by misuse, vandalism, tampering with the framework, an act of God, including but not limited to, ice, snow or wind in excess of the applicable building code parameters.

• Framework is not warranted where it has not been engineered and installed in accordance with AWP Group’s plans and/or instructions.

 

Fabric Joins:

• There are two types of fabric joins used on the AWP Group DomeShelters those being:-
1) Stitching – bonded polyester thread (12 gauge)
2) Welding

• The expanded PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) thread known as Tenara® M1000 has a 15 year warranty against defects, exposure to sunlight, weather or water. This thread is used to join the shade material. Tenara® M1000 is used on all covers unless otherwise specified.

• Welding has a one (1) year warranty against failure and delamination. Welding is used to join the PVC Membrane. The process is a hot ‘wedge’ weld is used which bonds the laminates together.

• All claims made in relation to fabric joins will require a full site inspection by AWP Group at the owners’ expense.

• This warranty shall be void if damage to the fabric joins are caused by misuse, vandalism, tampering with the fabric, an act of God, including but not limited to, ice, snow or wind in excess of the applicable building code parameters.

• Fabric joins are not warranted where it is not installed in accordance with AWPGroup’s plans and/or instructions.
